Vigil to Stop the Execution

All Saints’ Day Mass Schedule

Wednesday, November 1st - All Saints' Day - is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Father Nathan Mamo, S.T.L., will celebrate a Mass in the Chapel at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery at 11:00am and a second Mass at Our Lady of Wisdom at 7:00pm. Father Nathan will also preside at a Mass on Thursday, November 2nd - All Souls' Day - in the Chapel at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery at 11:00am.

Special Collection for the Diocese of Santa Rosa

The devastating fires in the Sonoma and Napa region of California have killed so many and left many, many more without homes.  The fire damage also includes a Catholic High School in the Diocese of Santa Rosa.  Bishop Vasa reports that 10% of those high school students and 40% of the elementary school students are now without homes.  The Diocese of Santa Rosa is struggling to  assist their people and the real need now is to help those families displaced by the fires. Carmel of Reno – Annual Open House

The Carmelite sisters are hosting their thirty-ninth annual Open House on Sunday, November 5th 10:00am to 4:00pm.  As in the past, Christmas cards, books, matted prints and art work of the sisters will be available.  The day will close at 4:00 with an evening prayer service in the Chapel.  As November begins the remembrance of all the faithful departed the service will remember our beloved dead.  The Monastery is located at 1950 La Fond Drive in Southwest Reno.

Bible Study Postponed

The bible study originally scheduled to take place on the four Thursdays in October has been postponed to begin on Thursday, October 26th and will continue for four weeks.  The study on the book of Revelation will be held in the Parish Center at Our Lady of the Snows from 11:00am to 12:00pm.  The Parish Center is located at 1200 South Arlington Ave, Reno.
