The Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) is a Catholic collegiate outreach whose mission is to share the hope and joy of the gospel with college and university students, inspiring and equipping them for a lifetime of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship and friendships in which they lead others to do the same.
Joshua Snow
FOCUS Team Director
Hello! My name is Josh Snow and I’m the Team Director for the FOCUS Missionaries at UNR this year. I’m originally from Kansas City, MO, and this is my 7th year on staff with FOCUS. I graduated from Benedictine College where I met my wife, Annie, who is from Reno. We have been blessed with 2 daughters, Lena (age 3) and Avonlea (age 9 months), and are excited to serve the students at UNR and live close to family. I previously served with FOCUS at the University of South Dakota and Idaho State University before coming to UNR. I love food, playing ping pong and other sports, watching movies, and sharing the joy of the Catholic faith with people
Alessandra Contreras

Hello everyone! My name is Alessandra Contreras and I was born and raised in Mexicali, Mexico. I graduated in June 2022 from the University of California, Irvine. This is my first year as a FOCUS missionary and I’m excited to be serving the students at UNR! A fun fact about me is that I can speak about 5 languages: Spanish, English, French, Mexican Sign Language and I’m currently learning ASL.

Hi! My name is Maria Eggleston, I am from Asotin Washington and have lived on the Snake River my whole life. I graduated from Washington State University. Go Cougs! This is my second year serving as a FOCUS missionary, previously I was University of Oregon. I love to go thrifting and my favorite artist is Norman Rockwell.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Simkins and I am from Helena, Montana. I recently graduated from Carroll College in May. I am so excited to be serving at UNR as a first-year missionary!
