Safe Environment
The Diocese of Reno and Our Lady of Wisdom Newman Center are dedicated to keeping our children and vulnerable adults safe.
We make sure to follow all the rules outlined in the Dallas Charter and we work hard to stay compliant.
Through the program called “Protecting God’s Children,” we provide training to adults who work or volunteer in our churches and agencies that involve contact with children. This training helps them understand how to protect children and vulnerable adults, and it teaches them to recognize signs of abuse and neglect.
If we all join forces and work together, we can create safe environments not only in our parish, schools, and facilities, but also beyond.
